Starting over

I feel like the first half of owning a digital SLR is completely made up, like everything was just a snap shot, because I was using Auto on it. Now that I've completed my course and learned a lot more about my camera, I feel like I literally started over again. And now I feel lost because I don't like any of my pictures from before I started my class. So I guess here's to turning a new leaf in photography.

  1. every time you learn something about your medium it feels that way. Art is hard!

  3. Look at those older pictures as building blocks. While they may not be "perfect," that are part of what developed you into what you are today. And you will keep developoing as you learn more about photography take more classes. Use those pictures to see how far you have come. And just remember that most pro photogvraphers take thousands of pictures, of which only a few are marketable. You are lucky to be living in the age of digital photography. It wasn't very long ago that you would have had to pay to have each and every photo you took processed. So keep shooting! Take thousands! and learn from each and every one of them!
